Designed for four players, Hazari utilizes a standard international 52-card deck. The hierarchy of the cards in each suit is as follows: Ace (A), King (K), Queen (Q), Jack (J), 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2. Aces, Kings, Queens, Jacks, and Tens are each valued at 10 points, while numeral cards from 2 to 9 are worth 5 points. This totals to a combined value of 360 points. The dealing and gameplay proceed in a counter-clockwise direction.

Card Combinations

Troy

Referred to as a trial, this consists of three cards of the same rank. In determining strength, higher cards prevail over lower ones; thus, A-A-A represents the highest possible Troy while 2-2-2 stands as the lowest.

Colour Run

A Colour Run comprises three consecutive cards of the same suit. Notably, an Ace can play in runs such as A-K-Q (the highest) or A-2-3 (the second highest). The rank progression continues from K-Q-J to Q-J-10 down to 4-3-2 as the lowest Colour Run.

Run

This formation includes three cards of consecutive rank that do not share the same suit. The hierarchy begins with A-K-Q, followed by A-2-3, K-Q-J, and so forth down to 4-3-2 as the lowest combination.

Color

A Color consists of three cards of the same suit that do not form a run. The determination of strength starts with the highest card; if these are equivalent, comparisons proceed to the next highest card and then the lowest card. For instance, J-9-2 is superior to J-8-7 due to 9 being greater than 8. The strongest Colour is A-K-J in a single suit; conversely, the weakest is represented by 5-3-2.

Pair

A Pair consists of two cards of equal rank accompanied by a card of differing rank. To ascertain which pair is stronger, one must first compare the ranks of the equal cards.
